Military Art
The daily devastation cast upon Ukraine by Putin and his Soviet KGB minions and oligarchs weighs heavily on the artist. It makes him wish he was young enough to join Ukraine in their fierce fight to defend their personal freedom and way of life. Thus inspired his latest series based on photographs of himself. He writes of these memories, "Exactly 60 years ago to the month of my joining the reserves! Back then it was the revolutions in Czechoslovakia and Hungary. I was sure back then that I was going to be called, but avoided it, including it being in the midst of Viet Nam. I was an instructor and taught the kids how to kill and not be killed. I had it easy thanks to my college years for having been chosen right off the bat to be a squad leader and thereafter an Acting Sergeant. Somewhere, deep in storage, there's a photo of me leading my squad."

About what is happening today, he writes, "War makes no sense at all, especially in the Ukrainian case. NO MATTER what that Russian jerk does, Russia lost FOREVER Ukraine."
